About This Game Farlight Explores is a 3D space-sandbox game, made for space exploration, science fiction and resource management fans. In this game you can build your base or spaceship, explore the galaxy, extract unique ores in each planet or asteroids, craft new products, transport goods from one planet to another and more...Farlight Explorers is focused and supported on various pillars: Auxiliary systems: Design and maintenance of all the elements that your base or spaceship need to be operative (water, food, oxygen, energy). Managing a colony: Once you build the Singularity Gate, you will be able to manage a little colony with differents buildings, where your colonists will have a variety of needs to fulfill. When you start the game you choose a planet to start from the hundreds out there in the galaxy map. Once on the planet you have to extract resources to begin building a base that provides you with the items to survive like food and oxygen. The "tutorial", for example, is just some sparse documentation that pops up periodically, not tied in any way to what you're doing in-game. As such, it took me a little while to realize that this is Factorio in 3D. If you don't know Factorio, go buy it and play it right now (it's not yet on Steam). With a foundation of playing Factorio, this game is an enormously fun 3D upgrade to it. If you like building automated factories and resource management, definitely get this game. There's a lot of work to be done on it and hopefully the developers realize the amazing vision here!. Loving the game. This is my type of do it yourself your own way game. Still needs a few Tweeks and added content.. open the worlds up make them larger would be nice. give us a chance also to build exploraction buggy or something like that. Need becon lighting red so when yu go out at night yu can spot it flashing if yur out looking for ore. Maybe give us a chance to plant a flag on the planets we get too so we can clame them. Be nice to have a ready made ship small one just for short flights to nearest moon or planet... A very pretty 3D Clone of factorio.. but after a while it ends with a fatal error.If you restart the game the fatal error continues coming in shorter periods of time..I am sure I cant recommend this game with this fatal error returning so often.But nonetheless i want to point out that i really like the idea of factorio going 3D.Without the fatal error it is about as much fun as factorio.. Loving it, looking forward to more content.. This game has come along way from what it used to be. Keep up the great work!It is a simplified facotorio atm, but with the spaceship portion it has room to grow. The idea was good: To make a 3D Factorio.They failed... BADLY!I really dont have words to describe how badly everything in this game have been implemented.Stay away from this crap and get Satisfactory instead (or even factorio itself).. Absolutely enjoying this game. The art assets are fantastic. I really like the futuristic designs and shapes of the models. Another thing I REALLY like is the fact that thus far it is not about the GRIND to get the things you need in order to build those wonderful looking structures. I envision making expansive colonies and outpost on different planets. Really looking forward to whats to come with this one. Also love the fact that I do not have to be connected to the internet in order to play this game. Please, what ever you do DEVS if you are reading this, do not change that aspect. Make multiplayer if you must, but leave in the solo aspect for those such as myself who never play multiplayer. Hoping that you will at some point add the ability to MOD ever aspect of the game. I am the type that loves to modify games to suite my style of play. Thank you DEVS for the fun thus far! Also for any contemplating the purchase of this game based on reviews, do not let my play time statistics fool you because I always play my games offline.Edit: Another thing I would like to add about this game that I like is the fact that the DEVS have implemented an awesome save and load paradigm. This game saves and loads so much faster than some games I have recently purchaed. What ever you the DEVS are doing that makes that possible, keep up the fantastic work.For those who want longer days and shorter nights, there is a console command you can use:SetDurationInSecondsDay x or SetDurationInSecondsNight xwhere x is the number of seconds you want the duration to be. For examble:SetDurationInSecondsDay 50000 would give you about 13.8 hours of daylight.Developers keep up the fabulous work.. This review is posted a bit after the change to the Unreal 4 Engine. The developers should really give priority to polish the UI, since is the first impresion for a video game. As of now the ui doesn't feel "fluid" making it a layer that distracts new players from enjoying the game expirience. The gameplay concept of building planetary outposts is a great project to take on and leaves a huge space for improvement i would like to commend the dev for taking it on. The content rigth now is plenty and enjoyable.The visuals and sounds make an outstanding effort to be consistent to the gameplay.If you like building bases, space, resource gathering and crafting and survival. this game sticks to that formula. And i recommend to stick to it for the long haul. I know i will ;) .. This game gives you lots of options. This game is really uniqe in my opinion, being able to construct a base how you want it, watching out for metoir strikes all the time, building robotics that can ferry your drilled resources to holding tanks or directly into refinarys. then when you have enough build a space ship and move to new worlds to do this. I wish you a really good year.In this new update I focused on fixed some bugs and improve the problem related to the bright of the night and others related to the bug of no fuel when the player start a new game. I finally achieved to change the intensity and ambient color of the night to a good values, so right now the night is less dark and the players can play better.Now when a player start a game and select a new planet, the game will save the game when the player is in the planet, in the past versions, the game was saved in the galaxy map, so the no fuel bug could happen.I fixed the problem of spawning the trees and other objects when a player enter for the first time to a planet. Now all the planet and the sun will be spawned before the load screen ends.I fixed too some weirds rotations of the train and added a new check in the selection of objects code in order to avoid possible game crashes.I would like to thank you all the support of the community and all the reviews that help to improve the game.List of Additions:.
